The last decade has solved a hard problem: collecting patient data. If we can think of it, we can find the test to measure the biomarkers. But collection is not comprehension. A dashboard with forty panels is still forty panels, read on their own, and more data has produced more confusion than insight. The problem is no longer aggregating the data. It is integrating it.
That distinction matters because the body is a complex, interconnected system, and the clinical answers usually lie in the connections between data points, not at a single one. Clara maps upstream drivers and how those cascade into downstream effects that show up in the data. Read in isolation, root causes get missed, and interventions chase symptoms one panel at a time.
The way care is organized makes that harder, not easier. The referral model sends each panel to the specialist who owns that one lane, and each reads their slice well. But no one owns the integration, so cross-domain interactions fall through the cracks between specialists, and the patient is left as the only person holding all the results, the one least equipped to connect them. It is not a knowledge gap. It is a bandwidth gap: a full workup is hundreds of markers and thousands of interactions, more than any clinician, however expert, can interpret at once. Clara is built to be the integration layer. It routes each interpreted report to the relevant domain specialists, eleven of them, spanning clinical laboratory, cardiometabolic, microbiome, toxicology, precision omics, neurocognitive, body structure and movement, allostatic load, biological aging, mitochondrial, and psychosocial and lifestyle. Each specialist works on their own layer in depth and shows the inputs and citations they relied on. A master analyst then reads across all of them and maps how the systems connect, from upstream drivers to the downstream effects that show up on a panel, and ranks where an intervention would do the most. The output is a Systems Health Map: a ranked differential of the likely contributors and the leverage points, not a verdict.
Clara is a deliberate Non-Device clinical decision support tool: it supports the clinician’s judgment without replacing it, and every recommendation is for the clinician to weigh, modify, accept, or decline. Not a patient-facing report.
"Every specialist reads their slice, and reads it well. Clara reads interpreted and reported results as PDFs, images, or CSVs, covering the panels that most functional and longevity practices already run. It does not accept raw imaging, waveforms, or raw sequencing files. It is complementary to Mosaic’s own genomics: a Mosaic Genomic Lifestyle Optimization Report is one high-value input that Clara can read, but Clara synthesizes across all interpreted reports in a patient’s picture. A practice does not need to use Mosaic sequencing to use Clara.
