Question 1

Who is this certification for?

Accepted Answer

Practitioners who are already good at their work and want to operate at a meaningfully higher level of precision: functional-medicine practitioners, longevity clinicians, naturopaths, performance coaches, and certified health coaches working with health-sophisticated clients.

Question 2

Do I need to be a provider or coach to enroll?

Accepted Answer

No. The certification is open to anyone who wants to learn to read a genome and use it, whether you coach clients, run a clinical practice, or want to understand your own biology and your family’s.

Question 3

Do I need a science or medical background?

Accepted Answer

No. The curriculum builds the science from the ground up, assuming intelligence and curiosity, not prior biochemistry education.

Question 4

Is this a medical credential?

Accepted Answer

No. This is a coaching certification, scoped to a coach’s appropriate practice. Coaching scope compliance is non-negotiable in the program: you learn what you can say, what you can’t say, and how to work alongside the clinical providers managing the medical side.

Question 5

What does the curriculum cover?

Accepted Answer

Sleep, stress, nutrition, metabolism, supplementation, fitness, detoxification, environmental health, hormones, coaching foundations, communication, relational coherence, business building, and integration. Every chapter follows the same architecture: physiology, then genetics, then assessment, then coaching application. See /institute/curriculum for the full lesson count and structure.

Question 6

How is this different from other health-coaching certifications?

Accepted Answer

Most certifications teach you protocols. This one teaches you why protocols work or don’t work for a specific individual, and gives you the genomic and epigenetic framework to individualize your approach. The goal isn’t a better set of generic tools. It’s the scientific understanding to not need generic tools.

Question 7

What if my clients don’t have a Mosaic report?

Accepted Answer

The coaching frameworks, assessment tools, and intervention protocols apply regardless of which genetic report your client has, or whether they have one at all. Many certified coaches use the curriculum with existing reports (23andMe, AncestryDNA) while also recommending the Mosaic whole-genome report for clients who want clinical-grade depth.

Question 8

How long does the certification take to complete?

Accepted Answer

Most students complete the curriculum in 3 to 6 months working at 3 to 5 hours per week. Self-paced, lifetime access.

Question 9

Is this a live cohort or self-paced?

Accepted Answer

Self-paced: available immediately on enrollment. A Mosaic practitioner community (coming with the first cohort) will add live events and peer connection, but the coursework runs on your schedule.

Question 10

What happens immediately after I enroll?

Accepted Answer

You receive a confirmation email with your course-access link, and you can begin Lesson 1 within minutes. An onboarding email sequence guides you through the recommended starting path. (The practitioner community is coming with the first cohort.)

Question 11

What does enrollment cost?

Accepted Answer

$3,900 in one payment. It includes the full curriculum, the practitioner community (coming with the first cohort), and the certification on completion, with lifetime curriculum access.

Question 12

Is there a payment plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. 6 monthly payments of $700 ($4,200 total). You pick one payment or the monthly plan at checkout; both include the same curriculum, certification, and lifetime access.

Question 13

Can I add a Mosaic whole-genome kit?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once you’re enrolled, you can order a Mosaic kit ($895) from your dashboard. Taking the curriculum on your own genome deepens the practical learning considerably.

Question 14

Is there a refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a full refund within the first 30 days if you’ve completed two chapters or fewer. Beyond that, refunds are prorated or handled case-by-case; email support@mosaicbio.io.

Question 15

I completed the Apeiron Academy program. Do I get a discount?

Accepted Answer

Better than a discount: Apeiron Academy alumni qualify for a free upgrade with approved application. See /institute/alumni-upgrade.

Question 16

What credential do I receive on completion?

Accepted Answer

The Mosaic Biodata Institute Epigenetics Coaching Certification, a credential that positions you in a category most coaches don’t know exists yet. Use it on your bio, in client conversations, and on your practice page.

Question 17

Does the certification offer continuing education credits?

Accepted Answer

CE accreditation details are in development with the relevant credentialing bodies. We will publish the CE breakdown as those approvals are finalized.

Question 18

Am I allowed to interpret genetic reports as a coach?

Accepted Answer

This is the most important question in the field, and the program addresses it directly throughout. Coaching scope compliance is non-negotiable. You learn what you can say, what you can’t say, and how to work effectively alongside the clinical providers managing the medical side. The scope of a well-trained genomics-informed coach is substantial; the program defines it precisely.
